Lynn McRae is a consultant providing expertise in strategic planning, program evaluation, grant-writing, and project management. Her areas of focus have included education research, local government, and program development. Ms. McRae began her career in the healthcare industry as Special Projects Manager for the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania. Residing in Charlotte, NC, since that time, she has served in various grant-related roles including: Human Services Planner for the county of Mecklenburg; Research Analyst for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System; and as Program Manager and Program Director at Johnson C. Smith University, securing millions in funding for the STEM College. She served as Development Director at Cook Community Clinic, formerly Lake Norman Community Health Clinic, in Huntersville, NC from 2016 to 2022 and joined the staff of Road to Hire, Fort Mill, SC as Development Manager that year. Ms. McRae also served as an independent contractor for Strategic Evaluations, Inc. (Durham, NC) and Kim Joyce & Associates (Scottsdale, AZ). She received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Delaware and Master of Arts in Public Administration from The Pennsylvania State University. She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Using this breadth of experience, The Benefactory was established in 2017 to assist clients in laying the groundwork for funding and developing award-winning proposals.
